PUNTLAND 3M DOLLARS FOR EXPANSION OF POWER PLANT

Text of report by Somali Puntland newspaper `Kaaha Bari' on 17th March
Senior Puntland government [northeastern Somalia] officials say that the Danish
government has granted 3m dollars to the government to finance the renovation, expansion
and power generation capacity of the Boosaaso power plant.
The money has been donated through UNDP [UN Development Programme]. A team of Danish
experts is expected to arrive in Boosaaso to assess power supply needs in the town.
